Blue-Eyed Beauty - Christian Fine Art Inspirational Photography by Josiah Friberg

This image was taken during a year that I spent at home taking care of my toddler daughter. Every day I would take her to our local park and photograph her. She was the perfect . I remember this because her beauty just seemed to invade my camera lens as I captured her innocent beauty. Her soft blue eyes penetrated my heart and captured the attention of my soul. Window Lily - Inspirational Photography Christian Fine Art Landscape by Josiah Friberg

This photo was actually an experiment using the natural diffused light from my basement window. I love the soft natural light that comes in windows, so I set up this scene to capture the details and colors of the pretty flower. I hope this image inspires you to see the creativity of God in a simple flower such as this. A scripture that might go well with this one is, "Consider the lilies of the field..." This isn't the best image of a lily, but I hope this image captures your attention for a moment and causes you a little wonder at the beauty of God's creation. Be blessed! By photographer of the

Strawberry Feast - Inspirational Photography Christian Fine Art Landscape

This image was taken at a local farm here in the North Carolina . I took my family out for a morning of fun picking strawberries. With buckets in hand, my wife, two small children, and myself went strawberry pickin' and had a blast! We learned how to only pick the large, ripe deep red ones because they are the ones that have the sweetest and richest flavor. The strawberry season is quite short, so make sure you plan ahead and get out there in time before they're all gone. Also, have a plan to eat many, freeze some, and make strawberry jam out of the rest. If you can think of a good Christian verse to go with this photo, please leave me a comment about it. Alive Autumn Hills - Christian Landscape Inspirational Photography

This view of the hills behind my land reminds me of a prophetic word I received when I first moved to Moravian Falls from California. A complete stranger came up to me during the worship service and said, "The hills are alive with the sound of music, and you are one of the notes!" Now, when I look at this image, I think of those prophetic words that encouraged my soul. I realize that God has brought me here for a purpose, and that I have a note to sing in His glorious song. And the land that we bought will be a part of that song. Some day soon, when the timing is right and God gives us the green light, my wife and I plan to build our home on this land. We will have a 360 degree view of the surrounding mountains and hills, including this view and a view of Pores Knob and the Yadkin Valley. I hope this small piece of inspires you and causes you to praise the God of all creation who painted this scene with the colors of His autumn season brush.

Pioneer Spirit - Inspirational Photography

A few months ago I took my family for a drive up on the here in western North Carolina. We stopped and had a picnic and then went exploring. We found this old pioneer-style fence, which had some classic features to it and looked so beautiful in the . When I look at this image, it reminds me of the pioneer spirit that and other adventurous Americans had when they went westward exploring new territories. In fact, this fence is located in the general area where Daniel Boone lived, and it is only about 10 minutes from the town of Boone named after him. I didn't put a Scripture on this photo, but I hope you are still inspired by looking at this image.

Hummingbird's Feast - Christian Fine Art Landscape Inspirational Photography

This is the macro image that I considered entering into the contest, but I changed my mind and submitted the one below this instead. From the perspective of a flying bird or insect, this looks to me like a hummingbird's dream: a feast of nectar waiting to be enjoyed. I hope this stirs up some wonder at the beauty of God's creation in a single . To me, each flower is a , a work of art by our . Sometimes I can't believe how much uniqueness and diversity God expresses through His in what He has made.

Consider the Lilies of the Field - Christian Fine Art Inspirational Photography

I am a member of a photo club called the , and every month we have a photo contest. The theme for this month was . I've taken a few good flower shots in the past, but we are currently in a drought here in North Carolina and there aren't many good-looking flowers around in the . The day before the contest, I was at a friend's house and asked if he had any live flowers. This photo is of that sole flower. I stayed up until 1:30 am trying to find a way to make this ordinary looking flower look like a piece of . Eventually, after trying various different techniques, I discovered something in CS2. It's a technique by famous nature photographer that creates drama with a soft spotlight. You'll find it under the Filter menu, under Render, and under Lighting Effects. The style I chose to use was Flashlight. I chose to put a familiar Bible verse by Jesus about considering the lilies of the field that neither toil nor spin. I hope this piece of truly inspires you to appreciate the beauty of God's creation and trust Him to take care of all of your needs (without worrying). Sit a While and Rest - Inspirational Photography Landscape Christian Fine Art

This image was taken in my neighbor's yard in Millers Creek, NC. I like it because it reminds me to take time away from the busy week to rest and spend some quality time alone with God. As a , I believe in setting aside the as a special God-ordained day to cease from all my work in order to focus on God and spend time enjoying Him. To me, the Sabbath is a day to rest in God's goodness, enjoy His presence, and spend quality time with my family and friends as well. This image speaks volumes to me about remembering the Sabbath by keeping it holy. I don't see it as some religious legalistic rule, but rather it has become for me the favorite day of the week because I get to relax, pull away from work, focus on God, enjoy my family, and have some great fellowship with my friends. I thank God for the Sabbath, and for giving it to man to bless us in so many ways. I hope this you to take some time away from life's busy schedule to spend alone with God.

Inspirational Photo Landscape of Lake Norman Sunrise

I believe is designed to evoke a sense of wonder and awe at the beauty of God's creation. What's more beautiful than an early morning sunrise on Lake Norman, NC, presented in a format? As a , I worship the God of all creation, and not the creation itself. Watching this sunrise scene unfold was like watching a Master Painter painting a masterpiece across his canvas. To me this makes the photograph a valuable piece of and a one-of-a-kind original. Enjoy this photograph and let the sense of awe rise up in your heart.
